1001 Optometry offers single-vision distance and reading lenses, multifocal lenses, non-prescription plain lenses, different lens thicknesses and selected lens coatings such as anti-glare and scratch resistance. Sunglass lenses and other specialised lens options may also be available depending on the frame.
Yes. You can upload a photo of your prescription or provide your optometrist’s details. Our team may be able to contact them on your behalf, depending on their release process and your consent. You can also email your prescription later to contactus@1001optical.com.au. If your prescription is no longer current or you’ve noticed a change in your vision, you can book an eye test with our optometrist.
The timeframe for eyeglass and sunglass lens replacement can vary depending on your prescription, lens type, coatings and frame. As a guide, prescription single-vision glasses generally take around 7–10 business days to process. Customised lenses, including some higher prescriptions, prism lenses or lenses for rimless and half-rimless frames, may take around 10–14 business days. Our team can provide a more specific estimate once your needs have been identified.
Yes, anti-glare coating can be added to selected replacement lenses. It is designed to reduce reflections on the lens surface, which may be useful for everyday activities such as driving, working on screens or spending time under artificial lighting.
Not always. It depends on the frame's material, shape, age, construction and overall condition. Our team will assess the frame before proceeding and let you know whether lens replacement is a suitable option.
