How much does an eye test cost?

Medicare covers the cost of most consultations. Some additional fees may apply for services that are not yet covered by medicare. For those who do not hold a medicare card, a standard consult fee of $76 will apply. For more information, our store team will be happy to assist you at (02) 4761 0640.
 
Does 1001 Optical Penrith provide eye tests for children?
Yes, we do! All our optometrists have expertise and experience in providing eye tests for children, to ensure any vision problems and potential learning difficulties are corrected at an early stage.
 
What is the best way to get to 1001 Optical Penrith?
If you are wanting to drive to our Penrith practice then we recommend parking in the Basement of the centre car park for easy access to 1001 Optical Penrith. Entry to the car park is via High Street or Jane Street.
 
If piublic transport will be your mode of transport, then it is best to catch the Blue Mountains train line and hop off at Penrith train station for access to Westfield Penrith. Otherwise, the Penrith bus interchange is a short walk down Station Street to make it to the shopping centre.
 
What do I need to bring with me for my appointment?
